Guest: Julie Bernard, Global Medical Education and Content Development Director for the Orthopedics Division at Smith & Nephew (France).

Maxime Ros:
“Today, I’m delighted to receive Julie Bernard, Global Medical Education and Content Development Director for the Orthopedics Division at Smith & Nephew.

“Hey Julie, what are the best metrics to track to measure the success of a VR implementation and ROI?”

Julie Bernard:
“ It’s always difficult to measure ROI (Return on investissement) in education.

The main benefit of VR is improving retention of information and transfer of skills, which is difficult to measure unless you enroll, for example, your learners in a comprehensive study with scientifically validated scores.

As a company, we are also looking at assessing how much savings, for example, we can make when using VR versus other traditional teaching methods.”
