“Why did it all start?
At the end of my neurosurgery residency, my mentors in Toulouse told me very humbly: “You know, Maxime, here we don’t do everything, and we don’t do everything perfectly. It’s also important to observe other teams, and it’s through this exchange that surgical expertise grows rich.”So, I undertook fellowships in Marseille at La Timone, in Bordeaux at Pellegrin, and in Paris at Necker to further specialize in pediatrics. Then, I was hired in Montpellier as a Clinical Chief with the goal of pursuing an academic career.
